RARE Jumbo Progressive Pied Coturnix Quail Chicks LOCAL PICKUP ONLY

$10.00

PLACING AN ORDER MEANS THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND, & AGREE TO EVERYTHING BELOW! THERE ARE NO REFUNDS!

Price is per 1 chick 1 week old from our NPIP certified farm. These jumbo size chicks carry the rare progressive pied gene, which is distinct from other white patterns seen in Dotted/English White, Splash, White Wing Pied, Andalusian, Silver, Tibetan, & Rosetta. Unlike those, progressive pied birds increase the amount of white feathering as they mature, producing dynamic, unpredictable, and striking patterns. This gene is extremely rare in the U.S. and carefully maintained by select breeders, making these chicks a valuable addition for anyone interested in specialty quail genetics and unique color projects. These genes, imported from Germany, were graciously provided to us by Thieving Otter Farm. These chicks will come in a variety of colors and patterns, but all will have progressive pied genetics.

PRICE IS PER CHICK. All Chicks are sold STRAIGHT RUN, not sexed. MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 3 DAYS OF PURCHASE!

THESE ARE AVAILABLE FOR SCHEDULED FARM PICK ONLY! REFUNDS WILL NOT BE MADE IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PICK THE CHICKS UP. Use the “Contact Us” form to inquire about available appointments for pick up.

We do not supply anything to transport the chicks. You will need to bring your own cage with plenty of room so the chicks do not trample each other and have plenty of ventilation. Quail chicks are MUCH smaller than chicken chicks so please do not bring (non mesh) wire cages as it will not contain them. Cat carriers & appropriately sized small animal carriers with good ventilation & substrate that creates a non slip footing often work best. I do not recommend cardboard boxes. These chicks will be less than 1 week old so they will need to be kept on heat at 100-95 degrees F. Keep that in mind if you will be traveling with them outside the Andover area. We do NOT accept responsibility for chicks after they have left our property and we do not accept returns. We encourage you to inspect each chick before placing them in your carrier. Chicks require extra care and can easily overheat, get too cold, become stressed, or suffocate from items in their environment such as bedding. If you are new to quail chicks, please contact us with questions so you will be prepared to meet all their needs before they come home with you. WE WILL NOT MAKE REFUNDS IF YOU CANNOT PICK THEM UP! PICKUPS ARE MADE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!
